Chemical Safety Course
Chemical Safety Course:
Employees have both a need and a legal right to know the hazards and identities of the chemicals they are exposed to and employers have the responsibility to identify the potential hazards of chemicals, train their employees, and provide proper PPE. This course is designed to enable you to learn the chemical terms and concepts necessary to understand chemical hazards, to identify the potential hazards of chemicals, and to determine the proper protection required for employees. The course covers general chemical safety, as well as chemicals with special requirements for the construction industry. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $95.
