Welding, Cutting and Brazing Safety Course:
This course will teach you how to recognize and abate the wide variety of hazards associated with welding, cutting, and brazing. It covers safe work practices and regulatory and standard requirements of OSHA, DOT, ANSI and the Compressed Gas Association. You will learn the hazards of compressed gasses, gas cylinders, the health hazards of welding, cutting, and brazing and the other hazards associated with this type of work. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $95.
