Fire Protection/Prevention, Exit Routes, & Emergency Plans Course
Fire Protection/Prevention, Exit Routes and Emergency Plans Course:
Every year, industrial fires cause catastrophic loss of life and billions in damages. Learn how to minimize this potential by understanding the requirements for equipment in place, such as fire suppression systems, portable fire extinguishers and requirements for fire brigades. Learn how to properly evacuate employees from the facility by learning about proper exit routes, rally points and accountability techniques, as well as understanding the elements of an Emergency Action/Fire Prevention Plan. The required amount of time to complete the course is dependent upon your knowledge of workplace safety, but we find that the average completion time is approximately 8 hours. You have up to six months to complete the course.
The student will take a comprehensive online exam at the end of the course. You must score 80% to receive certification. You have three opportunities to pass the exam.
A refresher course and exam will be required every three (3) years. The cost of this recertification is $95.
